To say that Bocelli holds a special place in my heart would be an understatement. He was produced by Ernie and Denise Gamroth at Battle River Alpacas, and his quality is a testament to their breeding program. His sire is Hummingherd's Rum Runner, a PC Running Late son; and his dam is BR Belicia, out of RGA Miguel and Monterra's Bellana, well known champion and champion producers in Canada. Bocelli is a well put together male who displays an attractive, true to type head style. Judges have always remarked on the high degree of brightness and organization in Bocelli's fleece, its length, and the character that carries throughout from topknot to tail. He continues to maintain a very fine and dense fleece overall. He has produced several silky-fleeced cria to date (his pedigree includes several notable silky producers), with many of Bocelli's offspring displaying above average staple lengths across the blanket and into the neck, in addition to uniformity in micron, style and organization across the blanket. His cria can be identified day or night by their outstanding lustre alone. Having been tested on a range of females, he has proven himself to be a reliable complement to every pairing in passing along his traits without sacrificing colour. His genotype tests as eeaa (eea2a3). To date, all but one of his cria have been the same colour, or darker than their dams. His extremely mild, sociable personality makes him wonderful to work with and be around, alongside his offspring who share his good nature. Cumulatively, to date his offspring have earned over 200 points in their successive show careers, with his offspring winning 6 Colour and Reserve championships, 28x 1st places, 16x 2nd places; across the halter and fleece rings.

I am still absolutely flabbergasted that a female as nice as Genetta is now part of my little herd. Coming from the wonderful herd at Tiger Park Alpacas, Genetta is as complete a package as I could have ever hoped to find. Genetta is a compact, well built female with robust health and an eye-catching presence. She is opinionated and fearless, with a great head on her shoulders, making her the best kind of fun to work with. She has a very dense, heavy cutting, bright white fleece with very little guard hair and a great degree of organization. The brightness in her fleece is really something special to see in person, and the handle of her fleece is buttery soft, even with the high amplitude crimp style that covers her from head to toe. She comes from two sets of lines that are well proven in the production of animals with longevity in their fleece qualities, especially in fineness. Shaka, her sire, is known for his production of amazing fleece, and his consistent production of colour and supreme champions across a range of colours. Geneva, Genetta's dam, is a colour and reserve colour champion similarly sired by 5x colour champion, 6x Supreme champion TNC Genesis Next Generation. She is known for her production of heavy cutting, fine fleeces. I have some very big plans for future dates for this girl in the future, and am excited to have her part of my little herd.
