He is sired by Lazy G’s Accoyo Goldstar, a two-time Herdsire of the Year (2015 and 2019), and out of Stone Brook’s Midnight Lockdown, a true black female and multiple champion, including a title at the AOBA National Show. He was awarded Get of Sire at the 2019 AOA National Show and went on to earn Futurity Suri Herdsire of the Year – Dark Colored Offspring (Reserve Champion) that same year. His secondary fibers average 22.1 micron with primaries at 35.1 micron. In 2018 he was FIRST at the National Fleece show, out of a group of four TB two year old males. He was also second at the National Halter show. Adamas' density, luster, and body type are a true asset to growing true black at LHSA. His personality is inquisitive but not pushy, and a leader of younger males. Adamas' personality as a distinguished, composed male is also a desirable trait for a herdsire. We bred Adamas to our GLR Amalia (Grey, AOA 35063605) and LHSA Superstition (Dark Brown, AOA 31554138). We achieved gorgeous crias in 2020 from these pairs. A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously. • All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria. • Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis. • All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm. • Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician. We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
