CONSIGNED TO THE BREEDERS EDGE AUCTION ON AUGUST 23RD. HE WAS THE SECOND HIGHEST SELLING ALPACA OUT OF 77. Enterprise son... criated to amaze! Eros... the Greek god of erotic love. It wasn't by accident that he was named Eros. We believe that he has a bright future ahead of him as a topnotch herdsire. Yes, I know it's early but all indications are that he is clearly headed in the right direction, both conformationally and fiber-wise; and most certainly with attitude! At the end of the spring show season and at the tender age of 12.3 months, Eros has earned eight blue ribbons and five championships. I'd say that's a respectable start! And, the best thing is that he has this coming fall and spring to add to his collection of blues and banners before he even turns two and begins to think about breeding. At his first show, the New Jersey Alpaca Classic, he was awarded his first blue ribbon AND the light reserve champion ribbon. Even more appreciated were the words of praise that the judge lavished on him. To paraphrase senior judge Jude Anderson, “When Jude Anderson (her words) awards a championship to an alpaca that has just been weaned (referring to the fact that he was the youngest in his color group) it must be a very special alpaca, and this is a very special alpaca.” At his second show where, where once again he was the youngest in the class, he was honored with first place AND fawn reserve color champion. Judge Helen Humphries acknowledged that he was the most complete package in the class, along with being the finest in his class. She mentioned his excellent fleece structure and said that he was well grown for his age. At the CABO show in February, he again was awarded the blue where he competed against some of the most highly recognized farms in the country in a large class of 12. Senior judge Amanda VandenBosch was highly complimentary of him. Keep your eye on him... he's spectacular!

Alpaca Country Estates is thrilled to add Irish Meadows' Peruvian Showtime to our herdsire lineup! He is exactly what we were searching for in a grey stud. His genetics, show performances, fiber qualities and phenotype, production of multiple grey champions, and the collective caliber of fleece across his progeny made Irish Meadows Peruvian Showtime impossible to overlook. Consider Showtime for your fawn, dark, and grey females and watch for more fabulous offspring. Showtime is a son of the infamous Jacob Black. He is the product of the first grey breeding to Jacob Black. This combination did not disappoint with an offspring that had a beautiful head, perfect conformation, and stunning grey fleece. His first histogram displayed a 16.4 micron, 3.7 SD, and 100% comfort factor. Showtime’s fleece is not the traditional mix of black and white fibers, HE IS GREY-FIBERED! This may also come from his dam, Shades of Grace. Shades of Grace has a strong grey pedigree starting with two grey parents and following back to importation. Between his dam and sire, they amassed 29 championships (19 for Jacob Black and 10 for Shades of Grace.) Showtime followed by taking eight banners, including back-to-back Futurity Color Championships. Both his sire and dam have produced multiple champions. Over 160 banners for Jacob Black’s offspring. Many grey and black. Jacob Black also won Reserve Dark Herdsire of the year, two years in a row. Showtime is producing multiple champions as well. Irish Meadows Crusade, a modern rose grey, won 12 banners and 18 first place awards in his first show season, Spring of 2023. Irish Meadows Momentum won 6 banners, Irish Meadows Poppy won 4 banners, Irish Meadows Paisley won 2 banners. They are all grey. Showtime is continuing to produce impressive grey offspring! Both in classic grey and modern grey. He is producing grey 50% of the time and almost all the time when covering grey. It is not just about color; the fiber and conformation of his offspring are consistently stunning and fine. Irish Meadow’s Naomi had a 13-micron fleece! The style, organization, brightness, and uniformity are all adding to that stunning fleece.
