Maddy is a lovely, feminine, true black female by the true black multiple color champion SA Peruvian Black Epic. Her mother, also true black, has produced several true black crias for us, so we know her color genetics are set. If that isn't enough, however, her pedigree also contains a strong heritage of grey, so we believe she will be sure to be a producer of black and grey cria. Her dense fiber is bright, with bold crimp that displays consistent character throughout her fleece. Add to this an excellent bite, curious nature, and presence for a winning combination. Nice black females are not that easy to find, and this cria's price is certain to go up as she develops. UPDATE: Maddy's 1/2 brother, Avalon's Black Total Eclipse (Sara's ONLY male cria!), just was awarded the blue ribbon for True Black Males at the MOPACA Invitational Show in St Louis (Judge: Wade Gease). Judge Kristin Buhrmann also awarded Eclipse 1st and selected him as the Black Male Reserve Color Champion at the Wisconsin Spring Fling. Given her bright, crimpy true black fiber, typey frame and her exceptional presence we expect Maddy to follow in her sire's and big brother's footsteps in the show ring. In addition, she recently won Blue Ribbons and Reserve Championship Banners at the 2025 GWAS shows in BOTH halter and Walking Fleece, as well as Reserve Champion at the 2025 AWE show! In addition, Silver Mermaid recently brought home Blue Ribbons from the 2025 Golden West Alpaca Show and 2025 Wild West Alpaca Shows!
