Stunning from all angles this CCNF Legionnaire son will catch your eye. This male is big featured with plenty of capacity and substance of bone, and was bred to be a prepotent male in uniformity and lasting fineness while keeping his intense curvature rates, which was an overall success. Red Granites McCoy is a Dark Fawn/Light Brown stud male who exhibites superfine, uniform and soft handling fiber characteristics which we have seen him pass on to his crias. His tremendously bright fleece is dense, consistent and well organised in its style of crimp right to his extremities. He is a beautiful true to type macho, has a great phenotype that is addictive to look at and solid bone structure, very stocky, together with a very easy temperament to manage. He is a recent and highly prized addition to our huacaya stud males, along with his paternal superstar brother: Red Granites Aragon, and it was the consistently repeated superior fiber characteristics in his fleeces and sire line which made him a “must have”. He is ranked in Top 1% in EPDs in 2020: 248 of about 27,388 alpacas for AFD! He is also in the Top 5% in three other traits. His progeny exhibit consistently fine, extremely bright and dense fleeces on a very good frame. We are breeding him to our top Val D Lsere daughters and the outcomes have been something words cannot describe. We expect McCoy to take on his sire's role as a top producer here at Red Granite Ranch. From what we have bred him to he produces fawn, brown, and black. His dam, Our Mary Jane, is a Snowmass XXXQuisite (2008 AOBA National Brown Male Reserve Color Champion, Fleece) daughter, he is son to Snowmass XXXTreme and Chima. Mary Jane's dam, Snowmass Wind Song is a daughter to Snowmass Conopa XXX and Followill Cotton Jenny (4Peruvian Legacy daughter). Sire, CCNF Legionnaire is a multi-judges' choice winner, and is son to Snowmass Matrix Majesty (Snowmass Matrix X Snowmass Simply Scrumptious) and CCNF Magdalena (Snowmass Legacy Gold X PPeruvian Jesusa). Red Granites At A Girl

AOA# 35168768DOB: 7/23/201510 yrs
Red Granites At A Girl is a beautiful true black Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose daughter, and is a maternal-sister to Presidio's Pirouette, a multi-champion black foundation female. Two of Pirouette's offspring reside with EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud, one at their AUS location, and the other on her way to their UK. Her son, Red Granites Pecos Pete stands stud to over 1500 females in AUS -- QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY. We all know that MR Sizlin Rose is one of the "go-to" herdsires in the United States when breeding black huacayas, as his offspring dominant the black show rings in fleece, halter, and walking fleece taking home champion banners and even judges' choice awards. At A Girl may not have rung it up in the show ring like her paternal siblings, but she sure has the qualities and so do her offspring! Her dam, Lancaster's Ausable Arabesque, is a direct daughter of 588 Peruvian Lancaster, an AOBA National Champion, Full Peruvian, stud male. At A Girl has been a stellar foundation female for us and now it is time for her to be a stellar foundation female for another farm as we lock her daughters, Red Granites At A Glance, and Red Granites At A Tood, into our herd. Let our loss be your gain!

Estates Passionate Fever

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 35602668DOB: 6/14/20187 yrs
Proudly Co-Owned with Crescent Moon Ranch and Sopris Alpacas Ranch. Times for when he switches between ranches will soon be released. Limited Outside Breedings Color Genotype: ee a2a2. Fever has sired Best Head & Best Crimp winners! Estates Passionate Fever is a respectable fourteen-time champion and three-time Judges’ Choice winning, light fawn son sired by Snowmass Pure Passion and by Estates El Galan's Yellow Fever. Snowmass Pure Passion represents over 30 years of passionate breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpacas. Snowmass Alpacas said, “Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” Fever's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s El Galan, a magnificent four-time champion winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. His maternal great grandsire R&R Oliver Twist has consistently produced outstanding offspring in Canada and the U.S., that exhibit fine, uniform fleeces, along with crimp and correct, solid conformation. Passionate Fever has a fleece that is feverishly dense and uniform. In 2019, Passionate Fever was evaluated as an A+ by senior AOA Judge Amanda VandenBosch. "He has excellent substance of bone, balance to frame, fiber coverage, good organization within staple, maintains consistency across fleece, moves to the extremities to neck, good density relative to fineness." Jill Marcellus said, "He’s a very refined looking male, He’s moderately sized, right in the middle there, & that can be very useful in a breeding program. He’s got good balance & proportion, excellent substance of bone, & a very typey male with a good strong phenotype. I really like his head style as well. His fleece is very fine & exceptionally uniform in all the fleece traits. I pulled samples from all over the place on him & really there is virtually no difference from mid-side to right into the front shoulder area to over to the hip. That also carried through with the staple type and also the expression of character through the fleece. It’s very uniform right across his body and underneath his belly." Passionate Fever had three crias (all females) for his previous owners, two light fawns and a beige all by light fawn dams and a beige dam. Passionate Fever will no doubt be a remarkable stud male for us in both light and dark color breeding, he carries everything we want in an Elite Stud from top to bottom. He will be bred over many different colors this year (2022) to see his potency. Fever's offspring are championship winners to boot!

Description

This lovely daughter of Red Granites McCoy and Red Granites At A Girl, relates all that is excellent about her sire, dam, and the heritage that follows. Her boxy frame is straight and square and supported by very good bone density. Her fleece is dense and fine with uniformity throughout, all being hard to find in a black. Her dam, Red Granites At A Girl is a True Black Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose daughter, so At A Glance's dark-color genes, specifically black genes, should be fairly strong and it would be very tempting to breed her that way considering the genetics that come in from her sire and dam combined.
