Her sire is Patagonia's The Sable (out of multi-champion parents - Patagonia’s El Vasco and Patagonia’s Adriana). He has both black and grey bloodlines and possesses the prototype head that is common of Neruda (El Vasco's sire) descendants.
Her maternal grandsire is the famous black Canadian herdsire Cava Guivir Zorro owned by Ruth Evelstad. Zorro is now retired from breeding, which makes this girl's genetics that much more valuable!

On 8/15/16, Aletea had a handsome light fawn male sired by Snowmass Pure Passion. Her son, Bluebonnet Hills Pure Devotion, won Reserve Champion Fawn Male and 2nd Place at the 2018 Houston Livestock Show
